Elizabeth Warren Truth Squad
Sep 23rd
In the wake of Elizabeth Warren remarks yesterday:
“I hear all this, you know, ‘Well, this is class warfare, this is whatever. No. There is nobody in this country who got rich on his own — nobody.
“You built a factory out there? Good for you. But I want to be clear. You moved your goods to market on the roads the rest of us paid for. You hired workers the rest of us paid to educate. You were safe in your factory because of police-forces and fire-forces that the rest of us paid for. You didn’t have to worry that marauding bands would come and seize everything at your factory — and hire someone to protect against this — because of the work the rest of us did.
“Now look, you built a factory and it turned into something terrific, or a great idea. God bless — keep a big hunk of it. But part of the underlying social contract is, you take a hunk of that and pay forward for the next kid who comes along.”
Joseph O’Brien has created the Elizabeth Warren Truth Squad on Facebook. Apparently Ms. Warren has a bit of a reputation around here.
I’d just like to know what she is doing with that $350,000 Harvard salary, plus $182,000 in royalties and consulting fees she made last year. According to her, that’s our money. BTW the MA GOP wants her to stop collecting “our money” while she is running her campaign for senate. I vote yes. That money should go to the roads she will travel on to campaign against Scott Brown.
Question of the Day

Why hasn’t Tony Rezko been sentenced?
Tony Rezko was convicted of mail and wire fraud, aiding and abetting bribery and of money laundering in June of 2008. That was over 3 years ago.
Rezko, a pal and fundraiser for Rod Blagojevich and Barack Obama used the political clout from those relationships to manufacture a gigantic kickback scheme. He got caught and convicted after a Chicago trial under the prosecution of Patrick Fitzgerald’s office.
Sentencing was scheduled for Sept of 2008, but it never happened. Rezko lived in federal prison in solitary for two and a half years until he was moved to the county jail with the general population earlier this year. In January 2011 Rezko asked for another delay in sentencing which was granted apparently to testify against Blagojevich – something which never materialized.
So why hasn’t Tony Rezko been sentenced?
The media still sucks
Sep 19th
Sometimes I think I am more angry at the media than I am at Obama. The media is supposed to keep us free. At some point the vast majority of the “Lame” stream abandoned that responsibility in return for getting their own way. And their “own way” was electing the cool socialist black guy. Obama will at some point be gone, but the media will continue.
Bill Quick over at Daily Pundit nailed it.
It’s all bullshit, you know. This new meme, that the press “neglected its functions as watchdog.” It didn’t. It performed to perfection what it truly believes its function is: to help shape history, politics, and culture in ways it finds congenial. Early on, the press made a collective decision that helping to effect the election of Barack Obama would admirably fulfill that function, and so it did everything it its power to help him defeat, first, Hillary Clinton, and next, John McCain. There was no failure here. There was instead complete success at fulfilling their intentions.
Unfortunately for them, the man they elected was nowhere near as effective in advancing their mutual goals as they were at getting him elected in the first place. And so, rather than admit their willing efforts to elect him, and take responsibility for the resulting disaster, they would rather pretend that their sin was a “failure” to “act as a watchdog.”
The truth is, their only failure was to drastically overestimate his ability to do what they elected him to do. That’s what they’re really ashamed of. They thought they were electing a full-on Marxist hero. Instead, they elevated an incompetent socialist with pretensions to Marxism. And now, steeped in the misery and humiliation of their own miscalculations, they want to pretend – and want us to believe – that their only sin was neglecting to vet him properly.
I plan to never ever Forget!
Another reason why LightSquared matters
Sep 17th
The press is starting to report on the risks to national security of the LightSquared technology pushed by the administration.
From Fox News:
A source familiar with the technology told Fox News that the LightSquared spectrum would be 5 billion times stronger than the military’s GPS system, rendering the military’s system almost useless.
“Imagine trying to have a telephone conversation while your neighbors are hosting a rock concert,” the source told Fox News. “That’s the situation the military is facing.”
Over at JOM, a pilot who goes by the name of “Daddy” mockingly expands on the risk to the general population:
I don’t understand this concern about the waiver for LightSquared.
I mean sure it’ll wind up costing this Nation and it’s citizens untold billions in expenditures in fuel costs and industry layoffs and higher ticket prices as a result of having severely downgraded our current Air Traffic Control system;
And sure it’ll do away with GPS navigation over the US, seriously reducing the navigation capabilities of 500,000 pound airliners loaded with hundreds of passengers, (separated vertically by only 1,000 feet) and whizzing by each other at closing speeds of over a thousand miles an hour in cluttered airspace;
And sure it’ll inhibit functioning of weather satellites which currently provide immediate critical data to the Air Traffic Control system that keeps those 500,000 pound airliners loaded with hundreds of passengers from having their wings ripped off by currently avoidable turbulence and fronts and thunderstorms and lightning and virga and microbursts and windshear and icing;
And sure it’ll severely reduce our current world leading Nav capability to land those 500,000 pound airliners loaded with white knuckled passengers in snowstorms and rainstorms and low visibility weather conditions at our nations airports, thereby making future air travel much more stressful, more unreliable and more expensive;
But other than that I just don’t see the problem.
Apparently the administration didn’t see the problem either.
Pardon me while I sip my tea

Sometimes I wonder if the country can make it all the way to 2013. My business, like every other small business, is barely hanging on. What’s even worse, my business booms when the economy gets bad. When the economy gets worse I am the last to fall off the cliff. We officially fell off the cliff last January. My business also gets better when the economy picks up, usually at a faster rate. No sign of that at all.
History will not be kind to this president. Since day one, he and his supporters have used race to excuse his failings. Criticize his lack of experience – you are a racist; criticize his corrupt cronyism – you are a racist; criticize his refusal to come to the table, come up with a plan, or consult with Congress – you are a racist.
The latest example of crony capitalism, (no doubt there are dozens more examples to come) is, of course, Solyndra. The Obama administration shoveled half a billion dollars of our money to a company which it seems everyone knew could not succeed. (Not so funny fact: If you took a half billion dollars and handed it out at the rate of one dollar per second, it would take 18 years to make that exchange.)
The president touted Solyndra as the wave of the future. Then when things weren’t quite working out, an Obama campaign bundler funneled more money into the failed operation to hide the problem for a little longer. In exchange for the funding someone in the administration agreed to make the bundler the primary creditor, kicking the American taxpayer to the curb and assuring we would never get our money back.
From the beginning it certainly appears that this President’s view of his job is to pay back friends and hurt enemies. Chicago politics at its finest. The American people do not enter into the equation. What’s worse is if you look at Obama’s history in politics it is blatantly obvious he has always operated this way. If you look at the people he surrounds himself with, it is also blatantly obvious. But even questioning the blatantly obvious stuff earns you the title of “racist”.
Whether they admit it or not, screeching “RACISM” at every turn is about as racist as it gets. Refusing to investigate Obama’s background is racist. Giving him a pass on his past, is racist. Refusing to state the obvious – that he does not appear to believe in the values this country was built on, is racist. Criticizing policies that have failed from day one – is racist. If the democrats actually believed in equality they would treat Obama equally. And then they would ask him to step down, just like they would do if he wasn’t black.
